| Résumé : | Val is a French sculptor based in Bangkok, Thailand. Having lived in South America, Africa, Europe and France in her youth, Val considers herself as a citizen of the world more than any specific nationality hence influencing her artistic vision. Through her sculptures, Val investigates the nature of the human condition and addresses questions inherent to existentialism. The self-taught and instinctual artist works with bronze – an ancient metal that has been used by artists for centuries – to take up the torch of the eternal questioning of the meaning of life. |
